How we do it
There are two kinds of landscape maintenance in this county. One is a crew with gas shears that makes every shrub a sphere in eleven minutes. The other is horticulture. We only do the second kind. Our maintenance leads can tell an oakleaf hydrangea from a smooth hydrangea at twenty feet — which matters, because one blooms on old wood and one on new, and pruning them the same way is why half the hydrangeas in Asheville never flower.
A maintenance visit is quiet, mostly. Hand pruners and a folding saw, not hedge shears. Cuts back to a bud or a branch collar, so shrubs keep their natural shape and actually bloom. Beds get edged, weeded before weeds seed, and fed based on what the plant needs in that month — not a calendar-blast of 10-10-10 over everything. We keep a running log for your property: what was done, what's coming, what we're watching. You can read it or ignore it; either way, someone is paying attention.
Plans run April through November, monthly or biweekly, from $185 a month for a typical established garden. Gardens we designed and built get priority scheduling — protecting our own work is the best advertising we have. And every plan includes the walk-and-talk: fifteen minutes with you, if you want it, about what's thriving and what we'd change. Gardens do best when everyone tending them is in on the plan.

Do you mow lawns?
No — and we're upfront about it. Mowing is its own business with its own equipment, and plenty of local crews do it well. We handle everything that isn't turf: trees, shrubs, perennials, beds, edges. We're happy to coordinate schedules with your mowing crew.
What does $185/month actually cover?
That's the floor for an established garden of modest size — one monthly visit, pruning, edging, weeding, feeding, log entry. Larger properties or biweekly care price after a walkthrough. You'll get a flat monthly number, no surprise line items.
Can you rescue an overgrown garden before starting a plan?
Yes — most plans start with a restoration visit or two: hard renovation pruning where species allow it, honest removals where they don't, and a soil-level reset of the beds. Then monthly care keeps it from ever getting away from you again.
Do you maintain gardens you didn't build?
Gladly, after a walkthrough. We take on gardens, not addresses — if what your property needs is mostly mowing and blowing, we're the wrong crew and we'll point you to the right one.
