Thirty minutes from the studio, in any direction.
We work where we live: Buncombe and Henderson counties, roughly thirty minutes from the studio in the River Arts District. Every town below gets the same crew, the same warranty, and the same opinions about dyed mulch.

Asheville
Home base. Our studio sits on Riverside Drive in the River Arts District, and something like half our built gardens are inside Asheville city limits — from Montford's old maples to the tight, steep lots off Town Mountain Road.

Black Mountain
Twenty minutes east and a couple hundred feet higher, Black Mountain gardens run colder than Asheville's — frost lingers in the Swannanoa Valley, and plant choices that coast through West Asheville can sulk here.

Weaverville
North of town where Reems Creek winds toward the Vance Birthplace, Weaverville mixes in-town cottage lots with rolling small acreage — and some of the best soil in the county, courtesy of that creek bottom.

Fairview
Cane Creek Valley is horse-fence-and-hayfield country, and the properties are bigger — which changes the work. In Fairview we think in acres and sightlines: how the garden meets the pasture, where the mown path wanders, which view of the ridge you frame and which you leave alone.

Arden
South Asheville's established neighborhoods — Royal Pines, the streets off Sweeten Creek — come with mature trees, older foundation plantings, and gardens that were planted once in 1994 and lightly regretted since.

Fletcher
Between the airport corridor and Cane Creek, Fletcher is young-family country — newer builds on open lots that came with sod, three builder shrubs, and no shade. The opportunity is the blank page.

Candler
West of town where Hominy Creek runs toward the Pigeon, Candler is hollers and hillsides — long gravel drives, springs that appear in March and vanish in August, and some of the most honest mountain land we work.

Swannanoa
Strung along the river between Asheville and Black Mountain, Swannanoa mixes old mill-village streets in Grovemont with coves running up toward Bee Tree — small lots and big hollers, often on the same road.

Hendersonville
A half hour south, Hendersonville is apple country with a gentler grade and a touch more sun — different growing conditions than Asheville proper, and we plan for it: bloom times shift, summer runs warmer, and the flat lots actually drain worse than the hillsides.

Biltmore Forest
The town inside the trees. Biltmore Forest properties come with Olmsted's shadow over them — deep canopy, formal bones, and a review process that takes landscape seriously. Good. So do we.
